Introduction

DCS World has just released a new set of patch notes, and gamers everywhere are buzzing with excitement. The latest update brings some much-needed improvements to the game's weapons, including decreased missile guidance errors and increased penetration warhead damage. Tanks will no longer be immune to the CBU-87 with HOF 300, as it has been adjusted to at least damage them now. And for those who pay attention to the small details, the nozzle flame of rockets has been corrected at the moment of launch. But that's not all - the patch also includes fixes for ground unit liveries, new sounds for various weapons, and even the addition of the Ropucha-class landing ship BDK-775.   • Weapon. MIM-104 missile guidance error has decreased.
  • Weapon. BLU-97/B penetration warhead and damage effect has increased.
  • Weapon. CBU-87 with HOF 300 had no effect on tanks. This has been adjusted so it will at least damage them now (see F10 view damage levels).

  • ME. Ka-50. GUI Error when you press delete on INU Fix Point (NAV target point) - fixed.

  • Weapons. Jettisoned racks don't die when hitting the ground/sea - fixed.
  • SA-19 Tunguska. The power of warheads has been reduced so that it cannot destroy tanks.
  • Input controls adjustment window now preserves user state layout and selection during the mission session for convenience.
  • Module Manager now allows to uninstall and install Caucasus terrain.

  • FC aircraft. Cyclic target Lock On by Enter key like easy avionics style - removed
  • OpenXR is removed from autosearch. DCS has a chain of VR vendors in priority oculus, OpenVR, Varjo, etc. OpenXR was in that chain in top priority, now it is removed from this chain and only available when you explicitly specify it in command line of DCS. if you wish to use Open XR, a shortcut with the following commands will need to be created: --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR

  • AI aircraft. There is a plane in mission with option "No report waypoint pass" in mission. On the next waypoint it performs the Orbit task. The plane sends a message about taking a zone each time if it sends a trigger message using radio. Fixed.
  • AI aircraft. Attacking AIs with GBUs stay on the attack course forever after bomb run - fixed.
  • AI aircraft. A-10C AIs can’t use the whole range of ARC-210 and ARC-186 - fixed
  • AI ships. Some submarines fly when setAltitude is given a negative value - fixed.

Radar:

DCS: A-10C Basic Flight Training Campaign by Maple Flag Missions
  • Added pre-flight, start-up, shutdown and emergency checklists to the kneeboards. Also corrected AI collisions on landing in BFT04 and BFT09.
The Enemy Within 3.0 Campaign by Baltic Dragon NOTE: Major update only for A-10C II Tank Killer version, as it utilises a lot of its features, weapons and the new radio. The support for the old A-10C version will be limited.
  • Horizontal changes. Fixed issue with ATC comms not working in all missions. Added new graphics at mission start and end. Added modular debriefings after each mission (accessible via Briefing Menu). Silenced wingman enemy spot reports. Swapped E2 to E3
  • Mission 01. Updated starting speed for player and reduced amount of fuel. Dodge 2 and 3 flights land quicker. Fixed issue with no comms with Overlord in the last stage of the mission.

  • Mission 14. Moved AWACS to Overlord frequency and made sure his calls do not overlap with other messages on the same freq. Removed "ROLEX" as code-word to commence attack. Updated several of the voiceovers throughout the mission.
  • Mission 15. Updated frequencies to better use all the radios. Fixed issue with AI Overlord comms constantly stepping over custom radio transmissions. Minor updates and fixes
  • Mission 16. Fixed issue with wingman being silenced during engagements. Fixed issue with JTAC not responding to player. Fixed issue with incorrect audio playing after terrorist attack.
