Striker

Previously, Awakening Striker required Adventurers to switch to gauntlet to use the skill Massive Suppression, which is used to knock down enemies after grabbing. Adventurers had to switch to gauntlet or use movement skills such as Double Flash or Spiral Cannon - Ferocious Assault to move and then switch back to gardbrace to attempt a grab. This improvement will make it more convenient to use Massive Suppression and knock down enemies with the gardbrace.

Therefore, we have made adjustments to allow for more frequent use of Prime: Mareca: Whale Song, Prime: Mareca: Spiral Soak and Mareca: Spiral of Dreams which are mainly used for defeating monsters. We have also increased the damage output of Serenaka so that it can deal enough damage even when Mareca is on cooldown.

Major Updates - Conquest War changes
Balenos, a new Conquest War area, has been added. Balenos' Conquest War takes place in the territory of Balenos, and, rather than a siege, is a battle where the guild/alliance that destroys all enemy forts or earns the most points overall wins. Also, please note that Balenos' Conquest War is subject to an AP Limit of 457. Through the resumption of the Balenos Conquest War, we hope that the expansion of available Conquest War territories will lead to smoother Conquest Wars. For a fresh start with the addition of the Balenos Conquest War, the stat limits of the Calpheon, Mediah, and Valencia Conquest Wars have also been changed. We will continue to make efforts to provide our Adventurers with a smoother environment for playing. Thank you.
  • Added Balenos Territory Conquest War.

    • Balenos Territory Conquest War rules are as follows:
After the start of the Conquest War, the war lasts for a maximum of 4 hours. By default, if all the command posts are destroyed and only one guild/alliance's command post remains, that guild/alliance wins.
Balenos territory adopts the same point system and rewards as Calpheon/Mediah/Valencia territories.
- If more than 2 guild/alliance command posts remain at the end of the Balenos Conquest War, the guild/alliance with the highest score will become the Lord of the territory, and the others will receive differential rewards according to their rank.
- If the guild/alliance's command post that occupied the territory last week is not destroyed until the end of the conquest war (max 4 hours), Balenos territory will be liberated, and all guilds, including the Lord, will receive a reward for the conquest (personal liberation reward).
* Balenos Conquest War lasts for a maximum of 4 hours, regardless of whether the Lord's command post is destroyed or not.

[Conquest War] Stat Limit Rotation

  • Changed stat limits for Calpheon, Mediah, and Valencia Conquest Wars as follows:
* Conquest War information has been reset.

New Additions and Improvements

Tamer
Tamer recovered MP according to hit targets since she had a low MP recovery effect on hit. Therefore, adventurers often used means such as MP Potion, Spirit Perfume Elixir, and Skill Add-ons to recover their MP. However, there were some shortcomings when dealing with certain monsters. This method was particularly not very effective for Tamers in their growth phase, so it has been adjusted accordingly.

Item
The Special Attack damage +10% effect has been added to certain sub-weapons, such as Blackstar, Nouver, and Kutum. Special Attacks are effects that affect Critical Hit Damage, Down Attack, Back Attack, and Air Attack. Please understand that this decision was made to solidify these weapons as the top tier sub-weapons.

We have been aware that the Increased Special Attack Damage effect of normal sub-weapons with an ultimate upgrade and the Extra AP Against Monsters and Increased Critical Hit effects of rented Nesser gear made them extremely powerful. However, as Nesser gear consumes Contribution Points and normal sub-weapons cannot be upgraded with Garmoth's Heart, we believed this difference would separate these weapons from Black Desert's best gear, and left the situation as it was. Even when these weapons could be compared to Blackstar weapons, the best in the game, we did not take steps to improve the situation as we believed the comparisons were merely hasty conclusions. We would like to take this chance to apologize. We will be much more thorough in double checking issues such as these and take preemptive measures to ensure that there are no more similar situations that arise. If, by any chance, such an issue occurs again, we will address it beforehand, take all of your opinions into consideration, and take quick action to mend the situation. Once again, we apologize for the inconveniences we have caused to our Adventurers.

The function of Nesser sub-weapons will stay the same. They are easily accessible as they only require Contribution Points, and will stay available for those who need a quick and temporary switch out for gear.

The overall damage will increase following today's maintenance, and we will be sure to scrutinize and balance the effects of this change Thank you.

Lahn
Awakening Lahn has increased damage for some of her main skills such as Flow: Vice, Bridled Despair, Taunting Death, and Flow: Mangler. In addition, the damage of Earthly Pain, Blood Moon Twist, Eradication, and Taunting Death has been increased to fill the times when Furor is on cooldown while defeating monsters. The damage of Blood Moon Twist was significantly improved and made it possible to combo with more skills than before. When it is used with the newly improved Eradication, she will be able to combo with even more skills. With the increased damage of skills and the improvements made to skill combos, we hope to see a larger variety of skills used to defeat monsters.

Trading Activity

  • The credibility of the [Old Moon Guild Newsletter], which is operated by the Old Moon Guild to deliver trade information, is slowly being recognized by adventurers.
    • Now, the Old Moon Guild has begun to provide more reliable information in the newsletter by writing the content in more detail.
    • There has been an increase in the probability of [Old Moon Guild] information being correct.
      • Adventurers who enjoy trading can now obtain information more intuitively and find that the information provided in the newsletter is more often correct than not.
※ If the information from the [Old Moon Guild Newsletter] about the trade goods of each village is correct, villagers related to the provided information will appear in their designated locations.
  • In the case where a trade item's cost has been 40% or less of its original cost for 3 market price cycles, the period where which trade items cannot be purchased has been reduced from 7 to 3 days
    • Goods cannot be purchased during this period of time as giant merchant guild of unknown origins purchase all of them when prices plunge.
    • After this period of 3 days, the items will be available for purchase again at their original market price.
In order to engage in trading activities, certain node levels were necessary. This meant that players had to invest Contribution Points into each node and manage them consistently. If connecting nodes were ever disconnected, trade activity would be difficult as players would have to reinvest and reconnect these nodes. In order to solve this inconvenience, we have changed the condition for purchasing trade goods to be based on Trading Levels.
  • Changed the condition for purchasing trade goods from node levels to the player's Trading Level.

New feature: Character-to-Character item transfer
Now you can conveniently transfer items between characters using maids/butlers. We wanted to introduce this feature sooner, but since it involves moving items, it required rigorous testing and verification. Now that it's ready, we hope adventurers will find it highly useful. We will also keep enhancing the UI for improved item management, including coin management, through ongoing updates and improvements.
  • Added a new feature that allows characters within the same Family to transfer items from one character's inventory to the inventory of the currently logged-in character.
    • Use Storage Maids/Butlers through the View other character's Inventory in the End Game window.
Before After
[Progressed in the following order]
1. Use Storage Maids/Butlers to store items in the Storage.
2. Log in with a different character.
3. Use Storage Maids/Butlers to retrieve items from the Storage.
[Simplified in the following order]
1. Use Storage Maids/Butlers to directly transfer items from one character to another.
(End Game Window - View other character's Inventory - Right-click)
※ The number and weight of items moved using this feature are subject to the same restrictions as the Storage Maid/Butler function.
※ Trade goods, guild items, character-bound items, treasure items, and Ornette's/Odore's Spirit Essence (including sub-items) are subject to the same restrictions as the Storage usage feature.

Workers

Introducing exciting changes for workers!

Changes are coming for workers in Black Desert! We're excited to introduce a series of enhancements to improve your worker management experience:

Firstly, we've listened to the feedback of adventurers, and as a result, you can now automatically recover your workers' stamina by storing food in your Family Inventory. This highly requested feature aims to reduce the manual task of providing food and allows you to focus on other aspects of gameplay.

In addition to automatic stamina recovery, you now have the ability to specify where the harvested goods should be stored after your workers have completed their tasks. Previously, goods harvested by a worker from Velia at Finto Farm would be automatically stored in Velia's storage. However, with the new update, you can designate a specific destination for the goods. This feature enables you to bring together goods from different production nodes into a single storage location, enhancing efficiency.

We're also raising the maximum level of workers from 30 to 40. Upon reaching level 40, your workers will unlock a passive skill called Delivery, which allows them to utilize the assigned delivery feature mentioned earlier. To ensure a smoother leveling experience, we have reduced the required EXP for levels 1 to 30. Furthermore, workers will learn new skills at level 35, providing you with more diverse options to utilize your workers effectively. The increase in maximum level also introduces an additional chance for Promotion, offering further progression opportunities. Please note that these updates will be implemented sequentially over the first and second weeks. ※ Lastly, we want to inform you that the ability of each worker will be adjusted due to the automatic stamina recovery and the introduction of new skills. Stay tuned for further details on these adjustments!
  • Added a feature that automatically recovers workers' stamina through recovery items from the Family inventory.
    • You can activate this feature by pressing the Recover All button from the Worker list.
    • The automatic recovery feature prioritizes the workers' stamina when it reaches 3 and by the sorting order of recovery items within the Family inventory.
      • A notification will display when there are no worker recovery items in your Family Inventory.
If you want to use the automatic recovery feature upon consuming all your workers' stamina recovery items, please note the following:
To reactivate the feature, you can either enable it again or use a recovery item at least once. This will initiate the automatic recovery process for the workers.
※ Please note we are planning to implement further improvements to use the above feature without requiring the need for reactivation after the May 31st maintenance.
  • Increased the maximum number of slots available upon using the Family Inventory Expansion Coupon from 50 to 70.

  • Improved the cooking mechanics so that failed cooking no longer triggers your chance of mass cooking activating.
  • Improved the ratio from 1:1 to 1:3 when utilizing the following high-level cooking as an ingredient.
    • Changed the grade of the following cooking materials from green to blue.
    • Changed the Supplied rations on ship for the following cooking from 100 to 240.
Higher level dishes that can be used as ingredients
Spongy Teff Bread

Mild Date Palm Wine

When trying to enhance equipment through Boss Gear enhancement content, adventurers were able to obtain crystals through weekly quests and reinforce lacking areas using Boss Summon Scrolls. We’ve increased the rate for obtaining both weekly quests and Boss Summon Scrolls, allowing adventurers to gather the required number of crystals more quickly than before. Additionally, we made a change regarding the crafting materials for Reform Stones. Previously, Opals were in high demand as they were an essential material not only for crafting reform stones, but also for other important content. To address this, we have replaced Opals with other types of crystals for crafting them.

Woosa Awakening, Do Wielder of Blooming Death
Awakening Woosa, the Do Wielder of Blooming Death, has finally arrived. We sincerely thank our Adventurers who have patiently awaited this update. We hope that all of you who have eagerly awaited this will enjoy it to the fullest.

Awakening Woosa is a hybrid character with a focus on mid-range combat. One of her most notable features is the ability to summon flowers. These flowers accompany Woosa and perform various roles during her skills. Some of these flowers can explode immediately to deal damage after being summoned, while other others explode after blooming. This allows for strategic gameplay such as engaging in tactical warfare by timing the explosions or using these exploding flowers for continuous onslaught.

Furthermore, we designed the Awakening Woosa skills to be efficiently comboed together when holding down the key for Sagoonja: Bamboo. This feature is also carried over for the Awakening skill, Life Lure. Holding down RMB after Life Lure will trigger additional skills. This comboing of skills, combined with the diverse way of utilizing her flowers, allows for Woosa to cause chain explosions to overwhelm her enemies.

In PvP, we have structured Woosa to exert more power in large-scale battles. With combos following Life Lure, as previously explained, you can inflict significant damage within a specific range. Also, by utilizing skills such as Seochon Field, that acts as a kind of mine field, you can disrupt the movements of your enemies.

We prepared the Awakening Woosa with great care, and we hope that you will enjoy this new content. We will continue to focus on improving and refining not only Woosa and Maegu, but all the characters that have already been released. Thank you.

Furthermore, we have adjusted the damage of certain skills that were weaker in PvE combat. The main skills, Petal Bloom and Petal Drill, have been adjusted to deal significant damage to monsters, while Moonrise, Flow: Cloud Stab, Petal Swirl, and Flow: Frostflower have been adjusted to complement and support the main skills during their cooldown periods, allowing for more strategic utilization in PvE.

    • You can perform Social Actions by clicking the S button in Chat (Enter) window or through ESC menu - Community (F9) - Social Action.

Woosa

Main Weapon
Stormfall I to Absolute
  • Changed PvP Damage Reduction Rate 59% → 67%.
Flitting Step, Chain: Flitting Step
  • Fixed the issue where Casting Speed was affected instead of Movement Speed.

Succession
The damage of Woosa skills were initially balanced considering the absence of strong or enhanced skills at the time of her release. However, as updates introduced new skills with improved synergy and utility, adjustments have been made to refine the damage accordingly. With the Woosa Awakening being released in this update, the awakening weapon can now benefit from extra damage effects. Considering the potential increase in damage through item effects, the PvE damage values for the skills in that aspect have been refined and adjusted.
  • Decreased the PvE damage of all Succession skills by about 3.75%.
    • However, as PvP damage has not been changed, the PvP Damage Reduction Rate has been changed.
Maegu
Maegu is designed to engage enemies regardless of their distance, utilizing both long-range attack skills such as Prime: Flower Shroud, Prime: Foxflare, Prime: Petal Play, and Prime: Bared Claws, as well as close-range skills like Prime: Heavenward Dance, Prime: Spirit Swirl, and Prime: Lurking Claws. Additionally, the inclusion of Prime: Foxspirit: Deceiver's illusory double and Spirit Step, which can be activated during the use of most skills, allows for a high level of stability and adaptability during combat. This combination enables Maegu to effectively engage opponents regardless of their positioning.

Even in situations where Maegu couldn't use her illusory double, she was able to easily escape using movement or evasion techniques, and we assessed that reducing Maegu's stability was necessary. Thus, we changed the defensive effects of Path of Petals and Soul Tear so that Maegu is subject to more pressure in PvP situations when using the two skills. Furthermore, the defensive effects were removed from Foxflare and Petal Play, which are used to attack opponents at long range. This change was made to require more strategic decision-making when utilizing these two techniques for counterattacking against close-range opponents.
Main Weapon, Succession
Foxflare
  • Removed the Super Armor effect from the pre-attack animation of the skill.
Petal Play
  • Removed the Forward Guard effect from the pre-attack animation of the skill.
Soul Tear
  • Changed the Invincible effect that was applied when the character using the skill vanished to a Super Armor effect.
Path of Petals
  • Changed the Invincible effect during the first move of the skill to a Super Armor effect.
Contents
In this week's update, additional improvements have been made regarding workers.

Firstly, the maximum level for all workers has been increased from 30 to 40. As such, reaching level 35 and level 40 will allow workers to acquire two additional skills. As for skill changes, it is possible to change skills from levels 31 to 40 by consuming 20% EXP, just as with level 30. When a worker reaches level 40, they will permanently acquire the 'Delivery' skill, which allows them to move harvested items from the production node to the desired storage. The production time at the node will remain the same. Additionally, the amount of EXP required to level up workers has been reduced, which will shorten the time needed for their growth. The prices of available workers at the Worker Exchange have been increased as well.

Previously, the Luck of workers could only be activated at specific nodes. However, in this update, Luck has been changed to activate at all production nodes except for Investment Banks and Specialty/Material Production Nodes. Additionally, the types of items obtained when Luck is activated have been revamped to include more useful rare items. Giant workers had the disadvantage of having much longer production times compared to other workers. To address this and balance the overall performance with Goblin and Human workers, the amount of harvested items obtained when harvesting at production nodes has been increased. This adjustment, along with the automatic recovery feature of the Family Inventory, aims to improve the balance for Giant workers.

Worker Level Increase and Addition of the [Delivery] Skill

  • The max level of all workers has been increased from 30 to 40.
    • As such, workers will learn a new skill at level 35 and level 40.
  • Workers that are level 40 will permanently learn the skill Delivery.
    • This skill will allow them to transport goods from the productin node to a storage of your choice.
  • Upon learning the Delivery skill, you can designate the storage you wish the goods to be transported to at the production node.

Decrease in EXP Required for Leveling Workers

  • The EXP required to level up has been changed to the following:
※ As a result of this update, it is possible for the worker's EXP to exceed 100% when displayed. However, once one task is completed, the EXP will be displayed normally.
Worker Lv. 1-29 About 33% of the original EXP
Worker Lv. 30 Artisan worker: 40% of the original EXP
Professional worker: 33% of the original EXP
Skilled worker: 26.7% of the original EXP
Worker: 20% of the original EXP
Naive worker: 20% of the original EXP
Worker Lv. 31-40 Same as Worker Lv. 30
※ Workers Lv. 31-40 can change skills as well.
- The amount of EXP required for changing skills is the same as Lv. 30. (Consumes 20% EXP)
※ In the case of special workers that can be obtained from the Amity Shop, the required EXP is reduced according to the worker's grade.

Worker Exchange Additions and Increase of Standard Price

  • The standard sales price registered in the Worker Exchange for each level of workers has been added/raised as follows.
    • However, Papu and Fadus workers, which can only be hired in Kamasylvia, will no longer be available for sale at the Worker Exchange.
※ The standard selling price is a price that includes a 30% worker transaction fee, and excludes the number of worker upgrades and the value of acquired skills.
Example of Worker Exchange sales standard price
Skilled Worker Lv. 1 10,000 Silver → 100,000 Silver
Professional Worker Lv. 1 30,000 Silver → 1,000,000 Silver
Artisan Worker Lv. 1 90,000 Silver → 5,000,000 Silver
Skilled Worker Lv. 40 2,000,000 Silver
Professional Worker Lv. 40 20,000,000 Silver
Artisan Worker Lv. 40 100,000,000 Silver
※ The standard sales price for levels 2 to 39 will be applied differently based on the representative examples above.

  • The promotion test according to the worker's rank has been increased to have the same probability of success regardless of level.
