Introduction

Ninja class receives some much-needed fixes. No longer will players have to deal with the annoyance of Shuriken Throw activating unexpectedly during certain skill combos. It's a small change, but it makes a big difference in gameplay. But that's not all! Maegu, the master of illusion, has undergone some adjustments as well. Her ability to confuse opponents with a duplicate has opened up exciting new attacking possibilities. However, her dominance in large-scale PvP battles has led to some balancing changes. While her attack damage has been reduced, the distribution has been increased to still pack a punch in smaller battles or 1v1 situations. Plus, there are even more updates planned for Maegu's skill enhancement and exclusive abilities in the near future. So, get ready to experience a whole new level of deception and wide-range attacks with this character. And there's more to look forward to in this patch! The main weapon, Succession, has received an improvement that allows for smoother motion when comboing certain skills. Specifically, Spirit Step can now be activated to move forward after using Chain: Spirit Step. It's a small tweak, but it adds fluidity to the gameplay and enhances the overall experience. So, gear up and get ready to dive back into the game with these exciting additions and improvements. Whether you're a Ninja or a fan of Maegu, there's something for everyone in this update. Ninja Step
  • Fixed the issue where Shuriken Throw would occasionally activate when comboing from certain skills.

Maegu

Maegu’s ability to confuse opponents with an illusory duplicate is a skill unique to her, and it opens up fresh new possibilities for attacking. Considering that this is a new playstyle that has no backstep defense (S-block), we've balanced the damage deal by each of her skills to counteract this heightened difficulty. 
Maegu has performed much better than intended in large-scale PvP, such as Node/Conquest Wars. As such, Maegu's PvP attack damage has been balanced following this patch (PvE damage remains the same). Though Maegu's attack damage has been reduced, as she has proven to be too powerful in Node/Conquest Wars due to her wide damage area, the damage distribution has been increased to still deal significant damage in smaller scale battles or 1v1 situations.
As Maegu is a class that can utilize duplicitous doubles and deal wide-range attacks, she really shines in large-scale PvP.
We are planning to gradually update Maegu's skill enhancement, two Prime skills, and Magnus' exclusive skill (Abyssal Legacy) in the coming weeks. Though Maegu's attack damage has been somewhat altered, we will develop her upcoming skills to add further appeal to her character. However, there may be future balances to her skills with the addition of these new ones..

Spirit Step, Chain: Spirit Step
  • Changed so that Spirit Step can be activated to move forward after using Chain: Spirit Step.
  • Improved the following skills so the motion displays more smoothly when comboing.
    • Comboing into Chain: Spirit Step after using Spirit Step forward.
    • Comboing into Spirit Step after Chain: Spirit Step.

  • Improved Chain: Spirit Step so the motion displays more smoothly transitioning into basic character movement.
Prime: Foxspirit: Deceiver
  • Added a UI specific to the skill that will allow you to recognize the illusory double when summoned.
  • Fixed the issue where you were moved to an inaccessible location of the Red Battlefield - Castle Ruins when using 'Prime: Foxspirit: Deciever' in certain areas.
  • Fixed the issue where the Prime: Foxspirit: Deceiver double wasn't outlined in red to enemy players in the following content.

  • Fixed the issue where the Prime: Foxspirit: Deciever double would pass through certain physical objects on the map.
  • Fixed the issue where the illusory double's maximum HP UI was not displayed in towns or normal monster zones.
Spirited Away, Flower Shroud
  • Fixed the issue where attack damage was not applied when rotating the camera while using Spirited Away and Flower Shroud.
Flower Shroud (I to Absolute)
  • Fixed the issue where stun would not activate during attack 2 of the skill.
Charm Mastery
  • Fixed the issue where attack damage of the last hit of the forward attack would not be dealt.
  • Changed the attack damage distribution of Bared Claws, Foxflare, Petal Play, Flower Shroud, Spirited Away during PvP as follows:
    • Before: -5% damage per attack when attacking 2+ targets. Only 70% of damage dealt when attacking 8+ targets.
    • After: -10% damage per attack when attacking 2+ targets. Only 50% of damage dealt when attacking 8+ targets.
  • Changed the PvP Damage Reduction Rate for the following skills:
    • Bared Claws: -30% → -40% (-14.3% more damage reduced)
    • Spirit Swirl: -55% → -65% (-22.2% more damage reduced)
    • Foxflare: -40% → -50% (-16.7% more damage reduced)
    • Petal Play: -50% → -60% (-20% more damage reduced)
    • Spirited Away: -65% → -72% (-20% more damage reduced)
    • Heavenward Dance: -50% → -55% (-10% more damage reduced)

  • Changed so mouse movements are no longer available during Heavenward Dance, and Black Spirit: Heavenward Dance.
  • Fixed the issue of being unable to interact with NPCs after drawing out then sheathing a weapon while mounted.
  • Fixed the issue where the volume of Maeug's voice was the same regardless of distance.
  • Fixed the issue of Combat Assistance function not being applied when using the following skills:

    • Drieghan soldiers near a cave in Tshira Ruins report some unusual energies in the area.

Node & Conquest War

Node War Individual Rewards

  • When participating in Node Wars, guild members will now receive individual rewards along with the usual tax benefits.
    • Upon victory/liberation/defeat, you can obtain individual rewards through the "Participation Reward" button in the Guild Information (G) - Guild Member Status tab.
      • Like Conquest Wars, only those who pressed the participation button for the Node War can receive these individual rewards.
However, individual rewards can only be obtained when the guild/alliance fulfills the minimum requirements for restoring Node War participation opportunities.
- Minimum requirements for participation opportunities to be restored: destroy enemy fort, or if the number of defeats is at least 20 or more at the conclusion of the Node War.
  • The Node War Reward Chests will expire in 15 days if left unopened. You must open the chest within 15 days to obtain the items inside.
    • If you do not collect the participation reward at the end of a Node War, you will be unable to apply to participate in the next Node/Conquest War.
    • Aside from individual rewards, you will still obtain taxes while occupying bases as before and have access to the war vendors of each respective tier.
    • The Resplendent Medals of Honor that are obtained through participating in Node Wars are now included in the individual reward chests.
    • Though Resplendent Medals of Honor used to be rewarded even when the minimum conditions for restoring participation opportunities were not met,
    • This has been changed so to not be included in the individual rewards if the minimum conditions are not fulfilled.
    • The top 5% of adventurers who were active in victorious guilds/alliances will receive Resplendent Medals of Honor x5, the same as before.
    • The adventurer with the highest activity in the victorious guild/alliance will be rewarded additional Battlefield Honor (tiers 1 and 2) and Battlefield Glory (tiers 3 and 4), just as before.

[Conquest War] Lord's Guild/Alliance Node War Participation Adjustments

  • Changed the guild/alliance occupying the territories of Calpheon, Mediah, and Valencia to now be able to participate in their Node Wars twice a week.
    • Guilds/alliances occupying the aforementioned territories will now be able to participate twice a week in Node Wars regardless of the outcome of the Conquest. The reset occurs after the end of the Conquest War every Saturday.
    • If guilds/alliances currently occupying a territory do not meet the minimal Node War participation requirements (total number of enemy forts destroyed or enemies defeated/killed is 20 or greater), all of their participation opportunities will be expended, thus preventing said guilds/alliances from participating in the Node War.
      • Guilds/alliances currently occupying territories can check their remaining participation opportunities through the Guild (G) window under Occupying → Node War Participation Opportunities.

UI

Skip Skill Add-on Animation

  • Added the option to skip the animation when applying skill add-ons.

Enhancement Chance Material Usage Saved

  • Changed the Enhancement UI so that the most recently used enhancement materials will be remembered in the Select Material (+ button) window.
    • Once you've successfully enhanced your gear, after increasing your Enhancement Chance by consuming enhancement materials via the [+] button, the next time you open the "Select Materials" button, your most recently selected enhancement material will be highlighted.

Monster Zone Info UI # (Hashtag) Filters

  •  Improved the Monster Zone Info UI so you can now click the hashtags to filter the relevant monster zones.
  • Added an informative window for the Server Selection screen to display for New Adventurers.
  • Changed the "Saying of the Day" in the Guild window to mention to be unavailable for War Heroes.

Conquest War Stat Restriction Cycle, Increased Benefits in Conquered Territories

Following today's maintenance, there have been updates to cycle of stat restrictions for Conquest Wars, and the +50% Item Drop Rate upon territory occupation was changed to also apply to Serendia, O'dyllita, and the Mountain of Eternal Winter. Though the monster zones in Calpheon territory has been left as is, monster zones in Mediah and Valencia territories are now available as well for adventurers to enjoy the unique benefits of being a part of a Lord's Guild/Alliance. Please keep in mind that these stat restrictions and conquest benefits will be occurring in rotation.

Conquest War Official Season

With the end of the Node War pre-season, the official season is now underway.
We give our genuine thanks to those who have enthusiastically participated in the pre-season.

The official season will begin with the same rules that were applied during the pre-season. Some of these include the increased benefits within occupied territories that we mentioned above. If the occupied territory is a "monster zone", you will receive twice the effect from the invested node. The node investment system has also been reorganized to be more intuitive, so we hope guilds/alliances will utilize this to their benefit.

This pre-season saw the addition of a limit on the number of participants, and we have added a "Focused Participation" system to the official season to further solidify this. Now, on servers where a Node/Conquest War is in progress, the DP of all adventurers not participating in the war will be set to 0. 'Non-participant' adventurers who approach the Node/Conquest War area will be automatically moved to a nearby village.

There have been several other suggestions regarding Node/Conquest Wars aside from the ones addressed above. Those that can be patched quickly will be dealt with as soon as possible, and we will slowly implement those that need more consideration.
We will also continue to contemplate and make improvements to the number of participants that can join in, and the number of territories available for conquest.

Introduced Focused Participation system between Node/Conquest War participants

  •  Changed so the DP of all adventurers not participating in the war will be set to 0 on servers where a Node/Conquest War is in progress.
  • Changed so 'Non-participant' adventurers who approach the Node/Conquest War area will be automatically moved to a nearby village.
* Adventurers with the title [War Correspondent] will not be affected by the system for the smooth activity as reporters.
  • Fixed the issue where the dividing line of certain node war areas would disapppear upon selecting a territory within World Map (M) - Node War Information.

Node Investment System Revamp

The Node Investment System has been revamped to be be more intuitive. Now, an effect (investment level x 0.5%) will be applied with every monster subdued, instead of the previous method where there would be a 10% chance of the investment level benefits taking effect.
Node investment levels have also been increased from Lv. 10 to Lv. 20, making room for more benefits. Achieving Lv. 20 will require that much more Energy, so in order to balance this, reaching Lv. 10 will require half the Energy that was required before.

Changes in gaining Node Investment effects

  • The changes in Node Investment and how they are applied are as follows:

New Additions and Improvements

Class Changes

  • Changed the following classes to no longer display their skill effects when training on scarecrows.
    • Nova, Guardian, Maegu, Woosa, Sage, Drakania, Hashashin.

Ranger

The Awakened Ranger can now react better thanks to improvements made to Spirit's Haven, which betters her ability to close the distance with her enemies, and Flow: Rushing Wind, which saw changes to the applied defensive effects. Though knockdown effects are activated through grapple or said ability to close in to enemies, certain skills had comparatively stronger PvP damage that would easily overwhelm opponents even without status effects. Thus, such skills have been adjusted. We have also adjusted Evasive Explosion Shot, a skill which recovers stamina and activates invincibility, as it allowed you to endlessly maintain the invincibility status.
Main Weapon
Evasive Explosion Shot (I to Absolute)
  • Changed to now cost Stamina instead of MP.
    • Skill Cost: 38/55/60/60 MP → 50 Stamina
    • Due to the above changes, you will no longer recover Stamina for the duration of defensive effects applied during the skill.

Awakening

  • Changed the PvP Damage Reduction Rate for the following skills:
    • Nature's Tremble: -35% → -42%
    • Wind Blade: -30% → -42.8%
    • Regeneration: -55% → -65.4%

Wizard, Witch

With the reboot of the Awakened Witch and Wizard, we introduced the concept of skills being enhanced according to which elementals are summoned. This concept was intended to be used in various combos by summoning elementals interchangeably to better suit the situation. However, this proved to be a burden as you had to choose which one to summon mid-combat. To address this issue that many of you brought to our attention, the enhancement effects will be applied regardless of which elemental is summoned.
Awakening
  • [Wizard] Skills that were enhanced only when Marg or Arne were summoned will now be enhanced regardless.
  • [Witch] Skills that were only enhanced when Gorr or Tett were summoned will now be enhanced regardless.

Witch

Improvements have been made so that Awakened Witch’s combos will be easier and smoother. Earth's Calling will now activate automatically after Fissure Wave to simplify the combo. Also, Thunder Storm, which would only activate quickly after Voltaic Pulse will now activate quickly after any skill to allow for even more effective combo techniques.

Chilling Wave, which would only activate Forward Guard upon an additional hit, has been improved to activate defensive effects throughout the entire duration of the skill.

Before, the buffs were applied to allies in a fixed area when using the skill, and this proved to be inefficient with allies moving around and the area itself being small. Now, the skill will affect characters that the Shai is facing, thus allowing the Shai to buff allies in front of her instead of those in fixed areas.
Talent
We're Gonna Win!
  • Changed how the skill is applied when using the following skills after it:
    • Summer Rain, Do it Better, Shout to the Sky, Time to Shine!, Sun, Moon, Stars

Sage

Following the reduction of stamina consumption of Prime: Rift Chain, we have further improved the Awakened Sage by stabilizing Prime: Spear Bolt and its combo into subsequent skills. In the case of some skills, however, PvP damage was too powerful compared to the stabilization of dealing damage. Thus, we have balanced skills with PvP damage that were deemed too high compared to their speed in activation.

Many of our adventurers have been making use of various crystal preset settings, and have requested slot and inventory expansions. Following today's update, you will be able to create up to 10 preset settings, and expand your inventory up to 100 with expansion coupons. Through quests, you can attain a Crystal Preset +1 Expansion Coupon and a Crystal Inventory +5 Expansion Coupon. Another of each can also be purchased with Loyalties.
  • Increased crystal preset limit from 5 to 10.
  • Increased crystal preset inventory limit from 50 to 100.
* Crystal Preset and Crystal Inventory Expansion Coupons can be acquired through Loyalties, the Pearl Shop, or the quests below.

Musa

Succession Musa is a class that specializes in quick combos dealing swift and powerful attacks. He can easily overwhelm opponents by hitting them with initial debuffs, then going in with combos. Swift in both attacking and retreating, with quick but critical strikes, he can gain the upper hand against opponents without a similarly matched skill set. However, he struggles against those with similar play styles. In order to balance this, we've moved the defensive effects of Prime: Crust Crusher to Prime: Blooming, so that Blooming can be used to guard him from attacks when needed, or turn the tide of battle with the skill's offensive attributes.

Succession Maehwa was geared to overwhelm opponents with combos after well-calculated debuffs, and she has been improved to be able to find more dynamic opportunities to attack.
When successful in finding an opening to attack, she will now be able to maintain her Red Blade status for longer and continuously combo into/activate skills with defensive effects.

Maegu

Today's patch added Maegu's Lv. 56-58 enhanced (Rabam) skills and two Prime skills.

First off, we designed her Lv. 56 Rabam skills to be comboable with other skills. Her Lv. 57 Rabam skills, with Frontal Guard and Super Armor respectively, were designed to add some utility to bolster her stability when necessary. Last but not least, her Lv. 58 Rabam skills include Spirit Sparks, which helps her melee defenses with Frontal Guard and HP Recovery, and Soul Charm, which can be useful when used as Maegu re-enters the fray thanks to the HP Recovery effect.

Her Prime skills include Prime: Fan of Flames, a ranged attack that reduces your enemy's Movement Speed and can keep them at bay, and Prime: Nukduri Dance, which deals melee area damage with an AP Increase buff that can be used in all directions.

With the additions of Rabam and Prime skills, we've reduced the damage of Foxspirit: Tag and Lurking Claws for PvP. Since Maegu is gaining new melee skills to her arsenal, we decided to implement such adjustments to balance her strengths in both ranged and melee combat.

Last but not least, we have removed the illusory double that "charges forward" for Foxflare, Petal Play, and Flower Shroud. Thanks to her doubles that can spawn front, back, and even to the sides, Maegu has been regarded to be in the top tier for PvP, so we decided to add some limitations to the number of skills that spawn these doubles.

We are continuing to test and observe Maegu's gameplay for PvP internally, along with analyzing various data we've accumulated from the game. We will look to see if today's changes were either too extreme or too lax, and we plan to make further changes if deemed necessary.

They will have responsibilities that only the Master and Advisor had, such as the appointment of members to certain positions, allowance distribution, obtaining Guild Skills, Guild House production, setting Guild Protection capacity/appointing Guild Protection, transferring Guild Mount gear (removing/equipping gear), Guild Drill retrieval, and applying/reserving for Arena of Arsha.
      • Mission Specialists have the general rights of other positions, with the specialized responsiblity of accepting and completing Guild Missions.

Improvement on Wizard's Posture
Today's patch includes a change to the Wizard's model.
We've been preparing this change since September of 2021 and we're pleased to finally deliver it today.
This was possible thanks to your widespread support of us and the Wizard class.
Thank you again for your patience and support.
As we have completely changed Wizard's body shape, what we thought most important was, "The body shape has changed, but the feel of playing Wizard should stay the same as much as possible." This is because we didn't want you to experience any change from the gameplay that you are already familiar with. Therefore, we worked on all the animations for a long time while simultaneously testing the way he feels to play, but please understand that some animations may feel slightly different from the previous ones.
In the case of clothing, all of them were reworked to fit the new model. You can see that the overall silhouette of the Wizard has become more striking, as now he has strong and stiff shoulders.
Lastly, with the model change, the previously saved customizations are no longer available. The previous customizations of Wizard that you loved will be preserved via the "Wizard Archive," so please be understanding even if it's unfortunate.
We hope your adventurers with the reworked Wizard will be that much more enjoyable.

We have also begun improvements to the management of workers. For starters, we have reduced the worker promotion test duration and reduced the required EXP for changing worker skills. The upcoming patches will also see several more improvements such as new worker skills and the ability to  change the portrait of workers to an image of your choice (just as with the Character Selection window).

  •  Reduced the worker promotion test duration to the following:
    • Worker promotion test duration : 24 hours → 8 hours
* For workers undergoing the promotion test, 16 hours will be deducted from the remaining time during the February 22, (Wed) maintenance.
  • With the adjustments made to the worker promotion test duration, the number of Pearls required for the Worker Instant Promotion has been adjusted according to the remaining time.

  •  The probability of workers appearing in each city and village upon hiring a worker via [Work Supervisor] NPC has been adjusted for each level.
    • Increased the probability of professional level workers appearing by approximately 2 times.
    • Increased the probability of skilled level workers appearing by appoximately 1.4 times.
    • With the increased probability of professional and skilled workers appearing, the probability of normal level workers appearing has been reduced.
    • Unified the appearing probability of same level workers (Giant, Human, Goblin, etc.) to be equal.
  • However, the appearing probability of workers hired via [Work Supervisor] NPC of Old Wisdom per level remain the same.

Increased Exchange Limit of Trade Items for Barter

With this update, we've increased the exchange limit per island for Barter to reduce the fatigue on our Adventurers by shortening the travel route each time you set sail. You can now spend less time to make greater profit, especially for level 5, with the increase in the exchange limit. 
As much as Special Barter is enjoyable content available for Sailing, we've removed certain items and replaced them with items that are likely to be more appealing.
We will continue to find ways to not only increase your profit but also allow you to more conveniently enjoy Bartering.

Monster

Protty Cave and Sycraia Underwater Ruins are not easily accessible when compared to other zones, but they provide a unique underwater atmosphere. To reinforce this underwater theme, we've added the "Protty's Song" buff which will act as a unique mechanic of these underwater zones. There are two different types of Protty's Songs, and the buff will steadily increase in power as you spend more time in a zone. Also, we've increased the prices of junk items dropped from monsters in Protty Cave and Sycraia Underwater Ruins Upper Zone. With these changes, defeating monsters in these zones for a longer period of time will be a more enjoyable experience than before.

You can now seize the opportunity to helm the greatest ship the Black Desert world has ever seen - the "Epheria Galleon!" However, we felt its size and firepower too great to permanently be under the possession of any one person, so we've been working on a variety of means to obtain temporary ownership of this vessel. One of these means involves Special Barter. Another, which won't be updated today due to the working out of certain kinks, involves Guild Masters of a Guild/Alliance who've become a Lord after a Conquest War being able to utilize the "Present" system to award certain Guild Members with the special opportunity to commandeer this grand vessel. This and other means we will continue to work on to be released in the near future..

Previously, it took an hour to use Character Transport between towns via the Character Selection window. With the addition of the Magnus, the difficulty of traveling between towns has been greatly reduced. As an one hour requirement for Character Transport is deemed to be a bit too long now, we have adjusted it to 20 minutes. We hope that this will make it easier for adventurers to relocate characters scattered across the BDO world or transport sub-characters somewhere else.

Major Updates - Spring Season Begins

Today's update marks the beginning of the "Spring Season."
Since last Autumn Season, we've been adding improved Life-skilling content such as increased items collected from Gathering including seasonal enhancement materials on the season servers. The theme for the Spring Season is "Fishing."
First off, we decided to increase the amount of Combat EXP gained from Fishing by threefold, thereby encouraging adventurers to branch out to different playstyles rather than feeling restricted to PvE content for growth.
We've also added the coelacanth to the seasonal waters, which can be exchanged for "Dreamy Crystals of Balance," items that grant guaranteed enhancement of Capotia accessories. We've also greatly reduced the difficutly of the weekly season quests that awarded you with seasonal enhancement materials as well. We hope that all of these quality-of-life improvements better your new season character's lifestyle in the Spring Season.
  • Spring Season has sprung. (Feb 28, 2023 (Tue) after maintenance - Apr 19, 2023 (Wed) before maintenance)
    • You gain boosted EXP when playing on a season server, where you can equip "Tuvala gear" to quickly level up your season character while completing the season pass.
    • Select "Season Character" in the Character Creation menu when creating a new character to access the season servers.
    • Season characters can access both season servers and normal servers. Normal characters cannot access the season servers.
    • Season characters can only equip seasonal gear issued by completing the main questline and cannot mount up on Dream Horses.

We originally designed these quests to require numbers befitting the amount of Tuvala enhancement materials they awarded, but, as with all things with the passage of time, we felt the numbers to be a bit too high. It was good to see adventurers banding together in platoons to subjugate the mushrooms, but we felt it was time to give a fighting chance to individual adventurers as well.

Quest to Reobtain [Sailing] Torn Treasure Map Piece

Following the previous barter update, today's update brings improvements to the Sea Crystal and Torn Treasure Map Piece items used to upgrade a ship's stats. For Torn Treasure Map Pieces, which could only be obtained through Saltwater Crocodiles, specific pieces were required to complete the map. Over time, unnecessary pieces would accumulate, so we've added a new way to obtain Torn Treasure Map Pieces to prevent such an inconvenience.
Also, we've not only increased the amount of Origin items, which are required to craft higher-grade Sea Crystals, gained from Simple Alchemy but also added a new alchemy recipe so Adventurers who wish to craft a Margoria Sea Crystal of a different stat can do so.
  •  The Old Moon Guild has started proposing new deals for adventurers who've set sail in search of treasures of the Great Ocean.
    • We've added a new quest where you can obtain Torn Treasure Map Pieces. Hand over Torn Treasure Map Piece x2 and Ravinia's Moss Remover x3 to Elro of Oquilla's Eye for the quest.

One of the means to obtain fruit items, essential ingredients for certain alchemy recipes, was via Mysterious crops. In order to increase the appeal of this method, we decided to double the amount of fruits produced through breeding Mysterious crops.

To prevent adventurers from feeling forced to engage in combat-based PvE activities, we allowed for some Combat EXP gains from Life-skilling activities early on. However, these gains were determined according to figures appropriate back in the day, so we decided to increase the amount of Combat EXP granted for Gathering, Processing, Cooking/Alchemy, Fishing, Horse Taming, and Farming activities to numbers more appropriate to current BDO levels. We hope this continues to encourage adventurers to not feel locked to PvE playstyles, and we will continue to make improvements where necessary for these Combat EXP gains in the future as well. Improved Dragon Scale Fossil for Advice of Valks Exchange

Prior to the quality of life update to the Enhancement UI, the Dragon Scale Fossil to Advice of Valks exchange was the main source of acquiring stacks for enhancement. With today’s update, we’ve made further improvements to that exchange. Not only have we lessened the required number of fossils to exchange for Advice of Valks (+20) and (+40) but we’ve also added Advice of Valks (+30) and (+50) to the exchange system. We hope this makes it easier for our adventurers to acquire the right stack when they need it.
  •  Improved the exchange system for obtaining Advice of Valks with Dragon Scale Fossils.
    • NPC Ulan of Eilton has begun exchanging Dragon Scale Fossils for Advice of Valks.

Added Simple Alchemy Recipe to Convert [Party] green-grade Elixir → [Party] blue-grade Elixir

Compared to blue-grade party elixirs, green-grade party elixirs have always paled in the strength of their buff effects and longevity of their durations. Equally worse was there being no means to convert a green-grade party elixir to its blue-grade counterpart if you had crafted one by accident. Hence, we’ve added a Simple Alchemy recipe that will allow you to craft blue-grade party elixirs for such situations. You will need to purchase Ibellab’s Essence from a material vendor for this recipe, and Mass Process is also available as well.
  •  Added an Alchemy Crafting Method which allows you to combine three green-grade party elixirs into one blue-grade party elixir.
    • You can use Ibellab's Essence x1 with the below Alchemy Crafting Method to craft 10 Simple Alchemy at once.
    • You can purchase the Blue Reagent and Ibellab's Essence from Ibellab for 50,000 Silver and 10,000 Silver each.

To help adventurers utilize their Central Market warehouse more efficiently, we have reduced the weight (VT) of equipment, accessories, and most other items by a significant amount. Now, equipment items such as weapons and armor only weigh 1/5 of their previous weight, and accessories will weigh 1/4 of their previous weight. Additionally, we've reduced the weight for items obtained in large quantities from killing monsters, i.e. Black Stones and Caphras Stones, and elixirs.

Quest & Knowledge

Previously, you had to complete a certain quest along with the tutorial with one character in your Family in order to skip the cutscenes in the Tutorial. Now, even adventurers who have not completed that ordeal can skip those cutscenes as well.

Skip Tutorial Cutscenes with 1 Run-through

  • Improved the skip feature for tutorial cutscenes unlocked after completing the tutorial once as follows:
    • Before: Complete the tutorial once and the "[Tutorial] Black Spirit's Behest" quest to skip the cutscenes.
    • Now: Complete the tutorial once to skip the cutscenes.
      • You can acquire the knowledge "You Were the Key" during the tutorial.
      • Adventurers of families created before this update will acquire the knowledge "You Were the Key".

Skip Balenos/Everfrost Main Questline Cutscenes with 1 Run-through

  •  Improved the skip feature for Balenos/Everfrost main questline cutscenes unlocked after completing the questlines once as follows:
    • Before: Complete "[Balenos] Journey's End" and/or "[Everfrost] Journey's End" quests once to skip the cutscenes.
    • After: Complete the respective main questlines once to skip the cutscenes.
      • You can no longer repeat the quests "[Balenos] Journey's End" and "[Everfrost] Journey's End", which can only be completed once per family.
Node & Conquest War
  • Added "Epheria's Star" as a reward for winning the Conquest War in Calpheon, Mediah, or Valencia. The item will rewarded to the Guild Storage of your guild/alliance.
    • Only the Guild Master can move Epheria's Star from the Guild Storage, and award a deserving guild member via the new "Present" button.
      • The "Present" button is available in the Guild Storage found on the Guild (G) window, and only works for Epheria's Star.
    • The guild member who is awarded with the Epheria's Star can accept a special quest from Philaberto Falasi in Port Epheria. Complete this quest to obtain the "Ship License: Epheria Galleon" and the [Captain Epheria] title, which is a temporary title that lasts for 7 days.
* You can only ride and control an Epheria Galleon if you have the [Captain Epheria] title, but you can only access other features even if you do not have the title or if it has expired.
